Yesterday, Mother Jones posted clips from a $50,000/plate Mitty Romney fundraiser—held at the home of a private equity guy who loves sex parties (hey, his wife dumped him for the 23-year-old tennis instructor)—which featured Romney telling his rich donors that, yes, 47% of Americans (the ones who support President Obama) think they "are dependent upon government, who believe they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to take care of them, who believe they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it." While Romney stood by his comments, calling them "not elegantly stated," he also said that the clips were "snippets" and not the full thing, "I hope the person who has the video would put out the full material." So Mother Jones' Washington Bureau Chief David Corn is happy to oblige him.
Corn writes, "The complete video demonstrates that Romney was not snippetized and that he was captured raw and uncut."
Some things that people have noticed:
Donor on Romney video asks, "Why don't you stick up for yourself? To me, you should be so proud of your wealth."
— Michael Calderone (@mlcalderone) September 18, 2012
Romney: "I'm not terribly well known by the general American public." Donor interrupts: "You're known as a rich boy!"
— Ashley Parker(@AshleyRParker) September 18, 2012
Got to love wealthy donor shouting Obama's "buying votes!" while attending a high-dollar fundraiser that same second.
— Benjy Sarlin (@BenjySarlin) September 18, 2012
Romney says of going on The View: "The View is high risk."
— Andrew Kaczynski (@BuzzFeedAndrew) September 18, 2012
Romney also thinks that Palestine doesn't want peace and doesn't believe a two-state solution will work.
