Amanda Liberty, the British woman who says she is in love with the Statue of Liberty, is gonna be so happy. After a year of work, the interior of the incredibly popular world landmark will be open to the public again starting October 28—her 126th birthday. Amazing, no? She doesn't look a day over 30!
The interior of Lady Liberty has been closed to the public since last fall while she got some new stairwells and elevators (and security measures). But that's all wrapping up now and soon enough people will be climbing up and down her—and marveling at things like the fact her skin is only 3/23 of an inch thick—daily. Can't wait? Well, you can always check out some of the views from the many live webcams set up on her in the meantime!
