With tomato harvest season in full swing (and you can find heirlooms at your local greenmarket for a song) there are some noteworthy tomato-based feasts we want to put on your radar.

First up, over in Long Island City, is Alobar's "Celebration of All Things Tomato," from September 3rd through the 9th. During that time, Chef Ian Kapitan will be offering a rotating menu of tomato dishes supporting local farms during their harvest season, with a two-course meal costing $30 (that includes one cocktail or glass of wine). Some of the options will include: Chorizo, Raclette and Tomato Fondue, Tomato Watermelon Salad, Heirloom Tomato Goat Cheese Tart, Crab Stuffed Roasted Tomatoes, and many more. They'll also have a Tomato Water Martini and Freshly Squeezed Yellow Tomato Bloody Mary ready to pour.

A few days earlier, you can dig into Cadaqués' "Celebrate La Tomatina" special tomato prix fixe menu, which coincides with the annual La Tomatina tomato throwing festival in Buñol. From August 29th through September 1st, Chef Guillaume Thivet will offer up a four-course menu for $35/person. The menu will include Traditional Spanish Gazpacho, Pan con Tomate with Boquerones, Heirloom Tomato with Serrano Ham, Veal and Pork Stuffed Beefsteak Tomato, and a cocktail featuring Sparkling Sweet Tomato Water with Strawberry.

Cadaqués is located at 188 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
