Because sometimes stealing candy from a baby is TOO easy: police are searching for a man who roughed up and robbed a 9-year-old in the Bronx this week. The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday August 8th; the 50-year-old suspect followed the child into his apartment building in the Fordham section of the Bronx, threw him into a wall, removed his money and then fled the scene on a bicycle. You can see surveillance footage of the suspect fleeing with the bike in the video below:
It's unclear whether the suspect stole the victim's bike or had it before the crime. The suspect was wearing a red shirt, dark shorts and white sneakers at the time. Anyone with information in regards to this robbery is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
