Anthony Weiner is putting himself out there for the national media again—in an exclusive family interview with People magazine. The disgraced, sext-happy ex-Congressman and wife Huma Abedin show off their adorable son Jordan and emphasize that all is good post-crotch shot and post-resignation.

In spite of rumors that he's interested in running for mayor or Public Advocate, Weiner says, "I'm very happy in my present life. The only next dramatic steps I'm planning on are Jordan's first." And Abedin, who is an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, adds, "Anthony has spent every day since [the scandal] trying to be the best dad and husband he can be. I'm proud to be married to him... It took a lot of work to get to where are are today, but I want people to know we're a normal family."

Another tidbit—People will have more in its actual print issue (out this Friday!)—is that Weiner does the laundry, which is like, duh, he has the time. Capital New York's Azi Paybarah analyzes People's scoop, "This was pretty much always going to be Step 1, in terms of Weiner's public re-emergence: an interview with a soft-news outlet that isn't nearly as interested as the political press is in the scandal, the cover-up, and the timing of Weiner's speculative comeback." In other words: Get ready for the "Anthony Weiner 2013: I Have Staying Power" onslaught.
