An NYPD golf cart was spotted on fire in Brooklyn Bridge Park just before noon today, equally worrying and delighting picnickers. Witness Adam Duerson, one of the first to see the fire, tweeted, "Police golf cart exploded, melting in Brooklyn Bridge Park." It's unclear what sparked the fire exactly, and whether it was purposeful or an accident—FDNY confirmed they received calls about it, but had no further information about the incident. Take a look at the pics above, and acknowledge for a moment the haunted, fleeting existence of an NYPD golf cart.
