The MTA wants YOU... to tell them what you really think about the city's transportation system. Yesterday the Authority launched a new website encouraging riders to fill out feedback surveys several times a year. And in addition to the pleasure of venting about those three A trains in a row that blew through the station at Rockaway Avenue last Thursday without stopping, or bitching about pole huggers, you will also be eligible to win fabulous prizes. Namely, a free MetroCard, y'all!
Every time the MTA does one of these surveys (3-5 times a year), it will "randomly select several lucky customers who completed the survey and offer them their choice of either a free MetroCard or a free 10-trip ticket on the MTA railroad of their choice." (Participants must be 16 years of age or older. Subway possums not eligible. The survey may be held momentarily by supervision, please be patient.)
The questions are pretty straightforward, asking how often you use the system, what bus or subway lines you use most frequently, and how satisfied or dissatisfied you are with the MTA's level of service. "Responses to our surveys are particularly valuable to us because they come in a structured way that is easy to analyze and study," says Paul J. Fleuranges, MTA Senior Director of Corporate and Internal Communications. And the best part is, you can take it in a multitude of languages, from Yiddish to Afrikaans to... Latin. Quod subway lineae tibi uti in praeteritum XXX dies?
