Sometimes, people really just do the right thing. Like Alfred Ragucci, 51, and his co-worker Nyraine Santiago, 25, who yesterday rescued a suicidal woman from jumping off the George Washington Bridge. "I’m not going to just stand there and let somebody take their life," Santiago told the Post of the duo's heroic response.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. when the pair were driving over the bridge into Manhattan and noticed a small woman standing on the outer railing and not looking back. "I thought, 'Is she gonna do what I think she is?'" Santiago recalled. So the pair pulled over and calmly walked over to the woman—as passersby possibly hurt the situation by calling out 'don't do it!' "No sooner than we got near the railing, this girl leaped and we just grabbed her arms," Ragucci said. "She was in the air—literally in the air—going into the water."

"We grabbed her by her wrists. It was like a movie," Santiago added. "Luckily, she was maybe 120 pounds soaking wet."

The pair, who insist they aren't heroes and were just in the right place at the right time, kept the woman safe until authorities arrived. The woman, whose name has been withheld, was taken to New York-Presbyterian for observation. If she had succeeded in jumping, she would have been the tenth from the bridge this year.

Meanwhile, if you want to hear what Santiago sounds like...well, we're pretty sure this is the hero's latest single:
