We didn't notice any reports of violence or serious injury at yesterday's Puerto Rican day parade, but this video shows a lengthy brawl somewhere near the parade route. It's unclear from the video what caused the fight or whether any arrests resulted, but the NYPD says 12 people were arrested throughout the day on charges of criminal possession of a weapon. (Four of those arrests were for possession of a firearm.) And we're told six people were arrested for disorderly conduct, plus another for public urination.
But as this video shows, the parade was mostly festive and jubilant, with countless colorful floats and decorated cars gliding by without incident:
Yes indeed, a good time was had by all. And a VERY good time was had by some:
And unlike the West Indian-American Day parade, that daggering was NYPD-free!
