Israeli scientists have developed a strain of marijuana that does not get you high thanks to increased levels of the healing cannabidiol compounds and neutralized THC compounds. “The numbing sensation that users are accustomed to has disappeared,” lead researcher at Tikkun Olam, Tzahi Klein, tells an Israeli newspaper. You might remember Tikkun Olam as the same firm that successfully removed the cuteness from puppies and created the world's most popular ice cream flavor, Water.
Everything about the marijuana is the same as the fun, equally as not-evil marijuana—the smell, the taste—so much so that patients are suspicious. "Many of our patients who tried the new plant come back to us and say: 'You tricked me,'" Klein says.
Too bad, patients: it's for your own good. You can't treat people for their illnesses and make them happy, too. Surely this product will catch on as fast as O'Doul's.
