Believe it or not, we don't publish every single subway fight video that comes across our desks. There needs to be something special that sets it apart from the belligerent pack, a certain je ne sais quoi that elevates it above your average voyeuristic brawl porn—a food angle, perhaps, or a baby stroller that rolls out of a subway car while mom slaps around another straphanger. The video below distinguishes itself by its epic length, its dramatic reversals between fighting and hugging, and the deliriously gleeful face made by the big guy at the 3 minute mark. (Also, there's no obnoxious Worldstar Hiphop watermark... yet):

We emailed the person who uploaded the video to YouTube to try and find out what the heck sparked this prolonged tussle/bromantic embrace, and we'll update if we hear back. But we can't help thinking the MTA is really missing out on an easy revenue source here. Why not just set aside one subway car on each train as the designated Fight Car, and charge straphangers extra for the privilege of videotaping the violence?
