The Knicks are back at .500, and have a firm hold on the 8th playoff seed as they head into the final stretch of their shortened season. Despite the fact they've gone 7-1 since Mike Woodson took over for Mike D'Antoni after his surprise resignation, the team is ailing right now: Jeremy Lin, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire have all been nursing wounds the past week. Today, the Knicks got some decent news about Stoudemire at least: the bulging disk in his lower back isn't as bad as doctors first thought, and he'll only be out 2-4 weeks. Maybe with this little break, he can finally have some time to brainstorm some ideas for his hebrew school.

Lin has missed two games due to a sore left knee, and will miss tonight's match against the Orlando Magic. But he, Iman Shumpert, and three-point wunderkind Steve Novak took time out to entertain several hundred people at an interview event at the Times Center last night. You can watch the whole video of the even below—highlights included Shumpert rapping, Lin making fun of Novak's confusion over offesnive sets, and Novak getting back at him by talking about how Lin and Landry Fields make incessant noise on the team plane while playing Monopoly on an iPad (Lin’s defense was that he kept landing on Park Place).

Novak also reflected on Linsanity: “The season’s been kind of up and down, but when it came together for us, it was a beautiful thing. The way it exploded for Jeremy and kind of followed for several of us; just to follow in his wake has been very cool.”
