Earlier today, a MTA worker was arrested after allegedly punching a subway passenger in the face at the 138th Street 6 train station in the Bronx.
According to News 12, "The victim's husband says his wife was rummaging through her purse to find the exact fare to ride the 6 train at the 138th Street station when the female MTA worker got into an argument with her. According to the husband, the woman picked up his wife by the neck and punched her several times in the eye."
There's a subway token booth at 138th Street, and the NYPD confirms that that MTA worker Phylathia Monroe, 45, stepped out of the subway to confront the passenger. The victim was treated at a hospital.
The MTA says that Moore will face disciplinary action.
