It was one game, but for all the doubters out there, they have vindication. Jeremy Lin burst onto the scene 16 days ago with a 25-point explosion against the Nets. That game was notable because it was the only until Monday where Lin played with both Amar'e and Carmelo. Monday he played his second game with them and the 100-92 loss to the Nets was not encouraging.

New Jersey was led by its star Deron Williams who scored 38. Kris Humphries and Shelden Williams pulled down 24 rebounds while MarShon Brooks added 18.

Lin acquitted himself pretty well. His shooting wasn't great (7-for-18) but he dished out 9 assists and pulled down 7 boards while committing only 3 turnovers. Carmelo was terrible committing 6 turnovers to go along with a 4-for-11 effort from the field. But, it was only one game and Carmelo certainly can be excused for a bit of rust on his game.

Ottawa destroyed the Islanders with two goals in the first two minutes on route to a 6-0 win Monday. Kevin Poulin was lifted after facing five shots and surrendering three goals.
