A well-financed criminal organization has been using a Dassault Falcon executive jet to cater to discerning marijuana connoisseurs who cannot tolerate reefer that's grown dry and impotent during a long truck ride from the West Coast. The operation is allegedly run by the formerly powerful gang the "Westies," and don't let their cutesy name fool you; these guys mean business. Just look into the eyes of John Bokun, the alleged kingpin. If he doesn't creep you out, the guns on his buddy should. Whatever you do, don't make fun of his watch.
Bokun's uncles, Billy and namesake John, were members of the infamous Irish mob before Hell's Kitchen became gentrified, authorities tell the Post. Bokun allegedly followed in their footsteps, and has been indicted by Long Island federal prosecutors on marijuana-trafficking charges. They say Bokun used his private jet to pick up high-grade marijuana in California and fly it to Farmingdale, Long Island, where Bokun was busted with $500,000 worth of weed.
Bokun and his crew allegedly distributed weed via jet to other cities around the country as well. "It’s rare to run into an organization that’s wealthy enough and sophisticated enough to pull it off," one law enforcement official tells the Post. The source claims the jet delivery enabled the Westies to deliver "an extremely powerful grade of marijuana to affluent customers willing to pay more for it before it begins losing its punch, as is common during long truck runs from the West Coast."
