This Thursday, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week returns to New York, as you probably know from the champagne-drunks that have been stumbling around in anticipation. Biannually, flocks of people more fashionable than you descend upon Manhattan and set up camp at Lincoln Center, all subject to the scrutiny of eagle-eyed Ann Wintour and disarmingly stylish teenage bloggers. Not everyone is invited inside the tents, but designers and the press alike are guaranteed to satisfy the appetites of the style curious. Even Marc Jacobs—fashion week's perennial hot ticket—will broadcast his unveiling for those not fortunate enough to have been invited to the New York State Armory on Monday night.

Many other designers will offer a number of ways to feel like you're in the front row as they debut their fall collections. Roughly a third of the shows taking place in the tents at Lincoln Center will be streamed via LiveRunway. Wear your best sweatpants as you watch these, our hand-picked highlights:

Additionally, you can keep in the loop on Twitter with the hashtags #nyfw and #mbfw while following some of the industry's most informed, like New York Times critic Cathy Horyn (@CathyHorynNYT), Wall Street Journal multimedia producer and reporter Elva I. Ramirez (@elvainadine), Teen Vogue's beauty director Eva Chen (@evachen212) and freelance fashion journalist Jim Shi (@jimshi809). All have a sterling reputation for posting up-to-the-minute photos straight from the runway and behind the scenes.
