There were lots of ads in last night's Super Bowl—two that even stirred up some controversy—but only one that got our geeky hearts aflutter. Yup, we all got another look at Joss Whedon's superhero spectacular, The Avengers:

The latest out of the house of Marvel doesn't add too much we haven't already seen before (Cleveland pretending to be New York goes boom!) but it did have some fun points. Robert Downey Jr. gets to be funny ("We have a hulk"), Scarlett Johansson gets to look good, and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye runs around with his bow and arrow. But also, look! They're getting into a massive fight right below Grand Central! Between all those tourists, I Am Legend, Independence Day, Godzilla (the crappy newer one) and Gremlins 2: The New Batch (whose Clump tower is on the East side of Park Avenue South there) that bit of roadway sure does see its fair share of monsters! But will Loki and co., make the next NYC Monster Movie map...
