Deron Williams woke up a happy man today: the snow is here, no need to fear, grab a morning beer, instant cheer! The subways are (mostly) working, hot chocolate servers are standing by in city parks, and El Bloombito was totally prepared this time: "Importante! El evacuation procedure por el sñow: Calmo y orderlyo vamosing to el nearest airplaño privato y que fly to el Bermuda beachcasa."

Oh sure, it may be a bit treacherous on the roads right now, but hopefully you don't need to go outside for anything but resupplies of snow angels. It's expected to snow for another few hours, with the city accumulating about 5 inches by this evening. If you want to volunteer to remove snow from your neighborhood, you can get information here; otherwise, you can report a snowy or icy roadway here.

If you do venture outside, make sure to send your pictures (and videos) to [email protected], or tag them as "Gothamist" on Flickr. Until then, enjoy this Galaxie 500 cover of Yoko Ono's, "Listen, The Snow Is Falling."
