Monday night a number of New York Giants decided to celebrate Victor Cruz's 25th birthday with a night on the town. So Chris Canty, Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks (though his agent denies it), Antrel Rolle and Aaron Ross all headed over to the Juliet Supper Club for their Just Chill Monday no-cover event. Other celebrities there included Reese Witherspoon's ex Ryan Phillippe, the singer Estelle, Jared Paige from the Chiefs, and the NBA's John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Chris Duhon and Kemba Walker. All was good, until around 2:30 a.m. when shots were fired in the club, killing one and wounding more. But rest assured, nobody famous was hurt.

"There was a melee that was going on," Cruz told the Bergen Record. "So we kind of just waited. We sat under the table and waited for the melee to calm down before we left. Then we got out of there as soon as we could. We didn’t know if we were going to get caught in a stampede." Reportedly all of the celebrities in the club were safely ensconced far away from the plebeians and their violent tendencies.

Police are still looking for the shooter, who was described as wearing a white leather jacket, but are getting no help from his victims. Artis Arthur, 43, died from his wounds and Jonai Washington, 28, was shot in the leg in the melee and didn't know anyone involved. As for Tracy Ryals, 28, who was also shot? He is refusing to help. According to the Post's sources he told police questioning him at his bedside to "go fuck themselves." Some witnesses say the shooting was the result of one of the shot men "bumping" into a woman.

The other big mystery of the evening remains how the gunman got his weapon through the door. Juliet insists that it has a strict door policy, telling us that its safety "measures included male and female security guards responsible for searching patrons belongings, a mandatory coat check, and a strict dress code was implemented. Additionally the NYPD has undercover officers who are stationed outside covering the front of the venue."
