Around 8:30 this morning a school bus swerved off the road and crashed into the front of a house in Canarsie, Brooklyn, bursting into flames. ABC 7 has been airing live footage from the scene, which shows the charred bus outside of the home on Rockaway Parkway. The FDNY says it collided with an SUV, and reports coming in say the bus driver was rescued and being treated on the scene; though it's unclear if any others were injured. We'll update as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: The FDNY tells us that the incident happened at 920 Rockaway Parkway. The driver has been transported to Brookdale Hospital, and the FDNY has told us that no children were transported to a hospital, so (while they can't confirm at this time) it's possible no children were on the bus when it crashed.
