This Dan Aykroyd Saturday Night Live audition reel from the mid-1970s popped up again recently, filmed when he was just 22 years old and the show hadn't even seen the light of day yet (it premiered on October 11th, 1975).

The first Repertory cast members of the show were Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, Laraine Newman, and Garrett Morris (Bill Murray joined them in 1977). The first show was hosted by George Carlin, with Andy Kaufman, Paul Simon, and the Muppets as special guests.

Check out some of the old audition reels below (miss you Phil Hartman):

Phil Hartman in 1985/86 (with appearance from Jon Lovitz)

Dan Aykroyd in 1975

John Belushi in 1975

Dana Carvey

Andy Kaufman in 1975
