Is this the retail store of the future? Over in Brooklyn, 3rd Ward has introduced their Shopbox, which is basically a vending machine service housed inside of a shipping container. They say, "Anyone can browse the stunning window displays, which showcase American-made products like Topo backpacks, a Mopha tool roll and a Makerbot 3D printer. See something you fancy? A quick text message and it's headed for your doorstep." Can we combine this with dumpster pools so we can, eventually, go diving to procure our pink flamingos?
The box is at the Dekalb Market (where everything is housed in shipping containers!).
