Hurricane Irene has come and gone, so now it's time to focus on more pressing matters: Beyonce is pregnant, with husband Jay-Z's baby! The long-rumored pregnancy was confirmed last night at the MTV Video Music Awards, when Queen Bee showed up in a vibrant red Lanvin muummuu, clutching her belly on the welcome carpet. MTV tweeted "OMG Beyonce just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!!", and her reps confirmed the happy news shortly thereafter.
Later, after performing "Love on Top" in a sparkly purple blazer, maternity pants and gravity-defying heels, she told the crowd, “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me" and rubbed her belly some more. Check out Jay-Z and Kanye's reaction at the end of this video, after she reveals her maternity gear to the world:
Newlywed Kim Kardashian tweeted "I'm sooo happy for Beyonce & Jay Z!!!! Be's preggo!!! Congrats!" and former bandmate Michelle Williams tweeted "OVERJOYED." No due date has been announced for the only baby to ever rival Shiloh's star power.
