Attorneys for Dominique-Strauss Kahn's accuser have released the medical report completed at the hospital hours after Nafissatou Diallo alleged that Strauss-Kahn sexually assaulted her in his Sofitel suite on May 14. According to Reuters, the report curtly sums up what Diallo has been alleging all along: "Cause of the injuries: assault. Rape."

Strauss-Kahn's defense team has angrily shot back that the contents of the medical report are based entirely on what Diallo was telling hospital employees. "The hospital report's conclusion is based almost exclusively on the word of the complaining witness, who has proved, time and again, not to be credible," Strauss-Kahn's attorneys say in a statement. They also claim that Diallo's injuries "are not injuries at all, and are common conditions consistent with many possible causes…including consensual sexual activity days before the incident."

The report also describes Diallo's examination proceeding while she was "in tears" describing how Strauss-Kahn allegedly grabbed her vagina, forced her to perform oral sex, and injured her shoulder. "The medical records are pretty powerful," Diallo's attorney Kenneth Thompson tells Reuters, "Forensics don't lie. That's the bottom line." Thompson, who fashions himself after high-profile attorneys like Johnnie Cochrane and Sanford Rubenstein, has spearheaded Diallo's public relations blitz after it appeared the Manhattan DA's office would drop charges against Strauss-Kahn based on questions surrounding Diallo's credibility.

Strauss-Kahn is due back in court next week on August 23.
