The NYPD released surveillance footage of a man who grabbed a purse out of the lap of a wheelchair-bound woman last month in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.
The robbery occurred on July 20 on Wyckoff Avenue. As you can see in the video below, the man is walking northbound down the street, glancing back at the 78-year-old being pushed in her wheelchair, and goes out of frame. Then he appears back in the frame, snatching the purse and running southbound. Another surveillance camera shows him fleeing.
Police say the suspect is about 6-feet tall and 180 pounds and was wearing a gray t-shirt, and dark shorts with a white stripe. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
