City Winery Summer BBQ Blow Out Festival: This Saturday City Winery throws open the doors to its back courtyard for a tantalizing a block party food festival. The food's provided by an A-list roundup of hot chefs; Sam Talbot, for instance, will be doing Charmoula Grilled Mahi Mahi; The Meatball Shop will make spicy lamb sloppy joes; and Momofuku Milk Bar will serve up watermelon & basil ice milk and sweet & salty cucumber ice milk. Perhaps most intriguing is the offering from Dos Toros, which is making a special "slawcamole," which features their guacamole with some mayonnaise, cabbage, pineapple, herbs, and brown sugar. That'll go on top of their slow cooked and grilled pork shoulder taco, marinated in a special habanero BBQ and served on corn tortillas. Seemingly ubiquitous identical twin hipster DJs Darin & Greg Bresnitz, a.k.a. Finger on the Pulse, provide the sonic vibrations. City Winery sells various types of tickets for this thing; $45 is for general admission tickets that get you ten food servings (one from each chef) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. $60 gets you all of the above plus two drinks. (There is also a cash bar.) Finally, a $75 "premium" ticket includes admission an hour early, starting at noon. The choice is yours, but whatever you decide, come hungry and ready to dance.155 Varick Street at Vandam
