LA-based coffee chain The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is setting up shop in New York, because this town apparently doesn't have enough retail coffee options.
Koshertopia writes that the chain is scheduled to open three locations in NYC in the next year, the first of which will be at 1412 Broadway (at 39th Street). Yelpers are thrilled, adding multiple exclamation marks to darn near every sentence upon hearing the news. Midtown Lunch calls it "pretty much like Starbucks but not as well known" and tout the chain's signature Iced Blended drinks.
Our calls to the company's headquarters in California were not returned, but their website does note that "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has become quite a media darling" thanks to guest spots on Entourage and The Hills and one location's spot as Perez Hilton's office. Golly, we don't know whether to drink it or ask for its autograph!
