Today, in honor of fantastically cranky, Rumsfeld-baiting comic Louis C.K.'s Emmy nomination, we're taking a little trip down memory lane, to a time when Louis was young, thin, and blessed with a full head of hair.

C.K.'s blog archive has some vintage clips of a young C.K. dating back to the late '80s and early '90s, and Splitsider has taken the liberty to compile a few of them into an amusing little blast from the past. Check out C.K. onstage at Carolines on Broadway, riffing on New York ("The only city in the world where you have to say, 'Hey, that's mine don't pee on that!") and see if you can catch a glimpse of the star waiting to be born.
