Even casual observers of Curb Your Enthusiasm can tell that Larry David belongs in New York. He's a neurotic, crotchety Jew with a persona entirely out of step with sunny LA, and while that's part of what makes it funny, it's finally time for Curb to come to its spiritual home.
The eighth season of will premiere this Sunday on HBO, and for this go-around, David is bringing all of his anxiety and crankiness to our fine city. Not a whole lot is known about the plot for this season, but so far, it's been getting strong advance reviews, and David has said to expect guest stars like Michael J. Fox, Ricky Gervais, Wanda Sykes, Robert Smigel, Rosie O'Donnell, Michael McKean and Ana Gasteyer.
Here's the cringe-inducing (in a good way!) trailer for the upcoming season, which will air on Sunday night at 10 p.m.
