Anthony Weiner, whose Twitter dealings are under increased scrutiny, may have gotten testy with aggressive reporters yesterday but his old friend Jon Stewart has his back. On The Daily Show last night the fake newsman came to the defense of the "distinguished member of congress," an old friend, arguing effectively that "his dick is just not that big." Also, the metadata on the crotch-shot in question doesn't seem to match Weiner's previous pics (though the image has not been manipulated).

Here's Stewart's take on the "scandal":

Earlier a gaggle of reporters went after Weiner on the steps of the capital, repeatedly asking if he'd sent the photo and why he'd hired a lawyer and not called the cops. The famously testy Weiner tried to be calm—"If I were giving a speech to 45,000 people and someone in the back threw a pie or yelled an insult, I would not spend the next two hours of my speech responding to that pie or that insult," he said—but finally got angry. "This is now Day Three," he told the crowd. "You have statements that my office has put out. And there are going to be people...this is the tactic. The guy in the back of the room who's throwing the pie or yelling out the insult wants that to be the conversation."

Finally, a number of outlets have used the brouhaha to bring up the married Congressman's earlier days as a DC lothario (oh the standards in the District!) and to closely examine the handful of young and attractive women who Weiner follows on Twitter. A list which includes a porn star?

Really, though, Weiner's "scandal" doesn't seem too bad when you look up to our neighbors to the North. In Ontario candidate George Lepp "accidentally" posted a picture of his balls to Twitter. He claims the photo was "inadvertently taken by his BlackBerry when it was in his front pocket" and was posted to Twitter when the candidate's phone went missing.
