Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) has seen the photographs of Osama bin Laden's corpse after U.S. Special Forces raided the Al Qaeda leader's Pakistan hideaway-in-plain-sight and killed him. And Inhofe says they are "grotesque," describing, "Either a bullet, the significant bullet, went through the ear and out the eye socket, or vice versa," and he's generous enough to want everyone else to see dead Bin Laden photographs, too!

The White House has decided not to make the photographs public, noting that it was certain Bin Laden was killed and that the photographs could be inflammatory, but the deathers are very eager to have visual proof. At any rate, some federal lawmakers are viewing the photos—Rep. Peter King and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will see them tomorrow and King is very excited—and Inhofe was one of the first. He told the Atlantic Wire, "The brains were coming out of his socket" in one of over a dozen photographs.

Inhofe would like photographs of a cleaned-up Bin Laden photographs to be shared, "Because I have heard on the radio a lot of people saying 'I won't believe it until I see it.' If it takes that for closure, I would recommend it." Rep. Dan Boren (D-Oklahoma) told Tulsa World he also wants the photographs to be released, "I understand the sensitivity of this issue and can see why some may have the opinion that we could do more harm than good by sending them to news outlets. It is my belief that we should always try to be transparent."
