Suicidal

cheapskate sex god Chris Christie apparently has friends in the midwest, as Iowans are clamoring for the New Jersey governor to run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Politico reports that Republican bigwigs are "unhappy with their choices in the developing presidential field," and want to unload their piggybanks on Christie. One such kingmaker is quoted as saying "You know where he stands, what he means. You don't need an interpreter." This leaves Kansas Senator George "Babblemouth" McCracken at a serious disadvantage.

Christie is staying mum over the demands for his candidacy, but his speech at a fundraiser in Des Moines last October apparently wowed the donors who were there, including Iowa's current governor, who said "I don't think I've been that inspired by a speech since Ronald Reagan." Christie-induced goosebumps didn't stop there, as insiders praised his handle on "smaller government, less government spending, job creation, and how to create a better education system." Don't forget his great strides in indoor ski-jump construction and the opposite of what that guy just said about education!

While Christie has only served as governor for a little over a year and repeatedly refuses to run, parallels are being made to another relatively inexperienced governor who was tapped for the nomination back in 2000. Maybe you remember him?
