Like so many affluent, 50-something males before him, Osama Bin Laden may have needed a little something extra to ensure that he could have sex. According to NBC News "nearly a dozen drugs" were found in the Abottabad compound after last week's raid, including medicine to treat "ulcers and gastric reflux," a drug to treat high blood pressure, and "Avena syrup," an artificial sweetener that doubles as a "natural Viagra." We knew that the blue pill was our lil' helper in the War on Terror, but it appears it was a double agent.
Nevermind that NBC's chief medial editor is quoted as saying "there is a lot of folklore around [Avena's] potential as a natural Viagra…but not a lot of science." How many impotency puns can the Post pack into this 66-word story on Osama Bin Laden's "natural viagra" stash? It was a "downer for his 72 virgins." The discovery was "showing a softer side to the hardened terrorist." And it sits under the headline "The harder they fall: Bin Laden kept natural Viagra…"
Meanwhile, we will continue to ask the tough questions: where are the weapons of flaccid destruction? How did Osama Bone Lacken, the leader of a soft-rod jihad, feel about being caught between Iraq and a not-so-hard place? Did he ever watch any of Bob Dole's commercials on his satellite TV?
