You know all that rain, Poplar Bluff, Missouri's had 15 inches in four days, that's been falling in the Midwest this week? Well, it's starting to move eastward. The ridge of high pressure that's given us two 80-degree days this week has also been the atmospheric dam keeping the rain to our west. That ridge is breaking down and the humidity is already increasing. Today's high will be in the mid-70s and there's a slight chance of rain.

The chance of rain remains slight overnight but will begin increasing during the day tomorrow. Be on the lookout for showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening. The passage of a cold front will put a quick stop to the rain, but the timing of that passage is still uncertain. Late afternoon? Late evening? Something like that. Thursday will again be warm with a high in the low 70s.

Behind the cold front we are looking at a weekend of mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures. Seasonable temperatures for the last days of April are highs in the mid 60s and lows in the upper 40s. If you behave and eat all your veggies it might even get a few degrees warmer than that.
