Has famously rotund Jersey Governor Chris Christie lost weight? The AP thinks so. Though Christie is keeping his mouth shut ("I'm not going to put any numbers on it because you just set yourself up for failure," the 48-year-old Republican said) the news source seems certain that "his suits have been getting noticeably baggy." We haven't really noticed ourselves, but we haven't really been paying attention. And as the man himself said, his losing weight is like "throwing a couple deck chairs off of the Titanic."

So what's the man who "threw his weight around" in Jon Corzine ads doing differently? He's been seeing a trainer three days a week and has started to eat "better" (of course, he's been seeing a trainer since 2009, so...). The impetus behind the latest loss is, he says, his four kids.

Meanwhile, other pols think that Christie has made his big and tall stature an advantage. "He talks about it and people relate," former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell told the AP.
