We knew that TLC taxi medallions were a good investment, but just how good of an investment continues to astound. Last month a single-owner medallion went for $634k, and now two fleet medallions are expected to make $950k each when they sell at the end of the month (fleet medallions are required to drive more miles than owner-driver medallions). You could buy a ferry with that kind of cash! In the past sixty years fleet medallion prices have risen more than the Dow Jones Industrial average as well as gold, according to an analyst the Daily News found. Gold, people, gold!
