With all four of the bodies found on Gilgo State Beach identified as prostitutes news is starting to emerge of leads the police are pursuing. In particular, it seems that the sister of one of the victims was repeatedly called and taunted by a man using the dead woman's cellphone. Also, a psychic may have predicted where the bodies were found.

Despite police monitoring the cell phone of Melissa Barthelemy, who was last seen in the Bronx on July 12, 2009, the closest they were able to pinpoint the calls to was midtown Manhattan. Shortly after her disappearance somebody also accessed Barthelemy's voicemail from somewhere in Massapequa, not far from the beach where the bodies were found, but investigations (including checking nearby hotels and security footage) didn't turn anything up.

It also turns out that Barthelemy's family hired a psychic in April to find their daughter and were told "that Barthelemy was in a shallow grave overlooking a body of water near a sign with the letter 'G.'" Which was not wrong! The family reportedly relayed the info to the NYPD before the bodies were found on Gilgo Beach (by a dog not following the psychic's lead).

Meanwhile, police are reportedly investigating the johns the four woman worked with in the days before they went missing. And since all four reportedly used Craigslist to set up tricks, the Daily News apparently thought it would be a a lark to go and try and pick up some working girls online. Naturally they had no trouble finding trade. Finally, if you needed any further evidence that prostitution on Craigslist is live and well, look no further than the news that the Brooklyn DA charged two men today with pimping out a 15 and a 17-year-old girl on the site.
