Last night, former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin appeared on Sean Hannity's Fox News program (video, transcript) to address criticism she's gotten since the Tucson shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and since releasing her "blood libel" video statement. And guess what—she's still upset at the lamestream media! Palin said, "They're not going to shut me up. They're not going to shut you up or Rush or Mark Levin or Tea Party patriots or those who, as I say, respectfully and patriotically petition their government for change." But former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum said on (lamestream) MSNBC, "She should stop talking now.”

Frum thinks Palin should have just let her video statement stand, even if it was "a disaster," because "you have to live with the consequences and just cease.” But, come on, Palin had to explain what she thought "blood libel" was:

Blood libel obviously means being falsely accused, or having blood on your hands. And in this case that's exactly what was going on. And yes, the historical knowledge that people have of the term blood libel, it goes back to the Jews who were falsely accused back in medieval European times of using the blood of children. And you know, the criticism of even the timing of this statement is being used as another diversion, because I believe that there are many on the left, many critics, who don't want, for instance, Congress, to buckle down, get back to work.

There's this trifecta thing going on in our country right now that's going to bring America to her knees if Congress doesn't start addressing the issues at hand. That being our growing debt, a looming energy crisis if we don't start domestically developing our resources, and some of the national security policies that have been adopted and enacted, like the signing and the ratification of the START treaty that Russia's Duma won't even ratify because there are misinterpretations of what the preamble means.

People, Palin has been reading up on her foreign policy! She also admitted the marks on her "Take Back the 20" map were gun sights, but pointed out it's not an original concept to "target" opponents.

Moderate Joe Scarborough said on his MSNBC show this morning that he thinks this will end Palin's political career and Newt Gingrinch also thinks Palin should think before she speaks.
