While preparing to leave her New York home earlier this week, Martha Stewart leaned down to whisper a goodbye into her dog Francesca's ear—and TMZ reports it's a move that landed her in the hospital! The domestic goddess startled her French bulldog, who was sleeping at the time, and says "She bolted upright with such force that she hit me in the face like a boxing glove hitting an opponent’s face. I was entirely startled and my neck snapped back. I felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from my split lip.” Stewart had her driver bring her to the hospital, where she received nine stitches. Nothing a few cocktails won't cure!
In case you were wondering how Martha would document an emergency room experience... she would document it with no less, and no more, than 34 photographs, and 308 words. But what we really want to know is her secret to such amazing skin: this is the face of a 69-year-old woman!
