Despite the wind and cold, today is going to have the most pleasant weather of the week. High pressure approaching from the west means lots of subsidence which, as we all know, means clear skies and a high just above freezing. Tuesday will start off fairly benign but lots of snow is expected starting tomorrow evening. Today would be an excellent day to do all your panic buying!
The storm that's wreaking havoc across the south (aside to dumb criminals - you leave footprints in the snow) is going to do the usual tomorrow and head up the east coast bringing with it a winter's brew of fear, misery, and snow. The day should start off quiet, with lots of clouds and temperatures rising to the mid 30s. Snow is currently expected to arrive in the evening. The Weather Channel says 4-6 inches of snow, the National Weather Service is calling for 5-9 inches and AccuWeather tops 'em all with 6-12.
Snow is expected to continue until noonish on Wednesday when a cold front will sweep through town. A blustery north wind and cold air are sure to follow behind the front. Thursday and Friday will be sunny but highs won't reach the freezing mark and the lows may dip into the teens.
