And the great Brett Favre Sextgate saga continues! When we last left you, Favre had allegedly asked Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger for a video of her masturbating, and Sterger wasn't quite sure whether she was going to sue. The results of the NFL's investigation into the incident were handed to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell three weeks ago, and Goodell says any decision on discipline will be coming "soon." But Sterger's lawyer is accusing the NFL of giving Favre preferential treatment!
Sterger's lawyer Joseph Conway said, "(Favre) is a high-profile athlete and a star in this league. He did do it or he didn’t do it. There are lots of reasons to believe he is getting preferential treatment." Well, duh! Is Jenn Sterger going to be in the NFL Hall of Fame any time soon? The NFL could be intentionally stalling as well; today marks two years since Favre last contacted Sterger, and in New Jersey all sexual harassment lawsuits must be filed within two years of the incident. And if the NFL waits just long enough, the season will be over, Favre will most likely never play again and it won't be their problem. But remember Sterger, even if you don't file a lawsuit today, there's always blackmail.
