Miami 10 Jets 6: The Jets are in trouble. Last week’s rout in Foxboro didn’t seem to inspire a lackluster offense and New York fell to 9-4. With road games ahead in Pittsburgh and Chicago, this slump could turn into a serious losing streak quickly.

The offensive numbers are horrific. Mark Sanchez completed only 17-of-44 passes, though some of those incompletions went right through the hands of his receivers. The rushing game managed less than three yards per attempt.

As ugly as the stats are, the sight of Jets’ coach, Sal Alosi, tripping a Dolphin player on a punt takes the cake. It was a cheap shot and while Alosi apologized for a “lapse in judgement” and accepted any punishment that will be forthcoming, this incident will only add fuel to the fire for all the Jet bashers out there.

Knicks 129 Denver 125: The fans cheered for Carmelo, but the Knicks continued winning without him. Amar’e Stoudemire set a franchise record with his eight-consecutive 30-point game thanks to 24 points in the second half. Raymond Felton was fantastic, scoring 19 and dishing out 17 assists. Wilson Chandler added 27, including a huge three-pointer to put the Knicks in the lead for good.

Rangers 7 Washington 0: New York exploded for four goals in a wild second period that saw Brandon Dubinsky and Alex Ovechkin drop the gloves. Henrik Lundqvist had another stellar game in net, making 31 saves and Dubinsky completed his Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal and an assist.

Lakers 99 Nets 92: New Jersey gave a good effort, but they couldn’t overcome Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. Brook Lopez had 25 points in the loss.
