This year's SantaCon is on! The day-long Santa pub crawl/food drive kicked off around the city and New Jersey this morning, but unfortunately, there have already been some casualties. After meeting at the Bethesda Fountain for some "reindeer games," the Santas are heading to the West Village for a few parties. If you want to meet up with them, here are the locations. However, reader Valerio Bruscianelli just told us, "Every single bar on the List is incredibly crowded, there is absolutely no way anyone can get a drink in any bar down here!"
New York City's SantaCon is happening right now! The ten starting points are: Gazebo at Van Vorst Park (Jersey Ave & York St. Jersey City, NJ); Church Square Park (4th Street & Willow Ave. Hoboken, NJ); Historic Paramount Studios (35th Ave bet. 35th St. & 36th St. Queens, NY); McCarren Park (12th St. & Bedford Ave. Williamsburg, Brooklyn); Brooklyn Bridge Park (Plymouth St. & Washington St., DUMBO, Brooklyn); Fountain at City Hall Park (Park Row & Broadway, Financial District, Manhattan); Sarah D. Roosevelt Park (Chrystie St. btwn. Broome & Delancey Lower East Side, Manhattan); Stuyvesant Square (2nd Ave bet. 15th St. & 17th St. East Village, Manhattan); American Museum of Natural History (Columbus & 81st St. Upper West Side, Manhattan); Dag Hammerskjold Plaza (47th Street & 2nd Ave. Midtown East, Manhattan); and James Farley Post Office (8th Avenue & 31st St. Midtown West, Manhattan).
