In interviews with ABC's "Good Morning America" and "Nightline," escort Capri Anderson (née Christina Walsh) announced that she will be filing a criminal complaint with the NYPD against actor Charlie Sheen and "suing Mr. Sheen in civil court" for assault, false imprisonment and battery for choking her and locking her in his bathroom early on October 26th. To recap, Sheen was found naked and doing coke in the bathroom of the restaurant he and Anderson went to, and after dinner the two returned to his room at the Plaza Hotel. Sheen then did more coke, accused Anderson of stealing his wallet and watch, and was found "frothing" and naked with Anderson locked in the bathroom. Here's how Anderson says things went down:
Anderson claims she was offered $3,500 to accompany Sheen to dinner (not the $12,000 for a "night of sex"), but was asked by one of Sheen's friends to make sure he got to his room and stayed there after dinner and drinks were through. Once they got to his room, she says he snorted an unidentified (yeah right) "white powdery substance," and then, "There was a little bit of romance, if you will." Too bad the fairytale had to end; Anderson said, "it wasn't until he put his hands around my neck that I really thought to myself: 'You have gotten yourself in a bad, bad situation.'" Sheen threw anything he could get his hands on, called her a "whore," she locked herself in the bathroom, and the rest is history. Here's Anderson, who claims she was offered $20,000 to shut up, talking to ABC.
As if the drugs, the escort and ruining the hotel room while his ex-wife and children were in the next room weren't bad enough for Sheen's image, Anderson says Sheen began yelling "racial slurs" as the night went on. Anderson also claims she has yet to receive the $3,500 she was offered for the pleasure of her company, but she hopes her travails will serve as a cautionary tale for whoever out there might still look up to Sheen. "I think that this story and this treatment sends a message in itself," said Anderson, who also said she was filing a civil complaint in LA. "It's not right to hurt people. It's not right to scare people. It's not right to carry on with such disregard for the people around you." Unless it's good for ratings.
