The deliveryman who was struck by a texting driver and declared brain dead from the accident has now died from the injuries. On September 19th, 19-year-old Nechama Rothberger slammed her car into scooter-riding Tian Sheng Lin as they both made the same left turn. Investigators found a half-written outgoing message on her phone, but she claims she was merely texting her family after the accident, and just didn't see Lin while making the turn. Rothberger faces misdemeanor charges and no jail time, but Lin's family wants her to get a harsher punishment. Her lawyer previously said she "didn't hit him intentionally. It was merely an accident," which of course makes her free of any blame.
