- Jets 28 New England 14: Call off the panic party, the Jets have “saved” their season. New York scored 18 unanswered points in the second half to turn a 14-10 halftime deficit around, despite the absence of Darrelle Revis. Mark Sanchez answered a lot of questions as he threw for three TD’s.
- Orioles 4 Yankees 3 (11 Innings): The Yankees flushed a great chance to solidify their playoff position. Ahead 3-1 in the 8th, New York surrendered single runs in the 8th and 9th to send the game to extra innings. In the 11th, the Yankees got the leadoff runner to third with nobody out, but couldn’t get him home and they lost in the bottom of the inning. Tampa comes to town tonight for a huge four-game series.
- Indianapolis 38 Giants 14: The Giants are not ready for prime time. The defense couldn’t make a stop and the offense couldn’t do anything when it counted. Luckily, New York has the Titans and Bears coming up on the schedule, but they have a lot of work to do if they want to contend for a playoff spot this year.
- Atlanta 6 Mets 3: RA Dickey ran into trouble in the seventh and the Mets’ bullpen couldn’t get him out of it. With the game tied at 2, the Braves scored 4 times in the seventh to earn the sweep of the Mets. New York has 12 games left and needs to go 7-5 to finish .500 or better.
