Notify NYC Tweets, "All Metro-North train service is suspended at this time due to a fire at the Harlem River Bridge." We hear the fire is under the bridge at Harlem River Drive and 132nd Street.

NY1 reports, "The suspension of Metro-North train service in and out of Manhattan is due to a transformer fire burning under the 138th street Lift Bridge by the East River, according to the Office of Emergency Management. Metro-North officials said no trains were involved in the blaze that began shortly before noon." A witness says that he heard an explosion.

Update 12:44 p.m.: We hear the fire has been knocked down, but the MTA expects the suspension of Metro-North to continue.

Update 4 p.m.: The MTA says, "Regular Metro-North rush-hour service has resumed in and out of Grand Central Terminal on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines after an earlier fire."
