Though the technology to blow into your phone and find out how sloshed you are hasn't been invented yet, the DOT has released a smartphone app designed to keep drunks off the road. Part of their "You The Man!" campaign that targets men ages 21-39, who in 2008 were responsible for 63% of alcohol-related crashes in the city, the app calculates BAC based on how many drinks you enter, and if you're too drunk it provides subway locations and numbers for car services. Of course, by the time you get too drunk to drive you probably won't remember to enter every Jaegerbomb into your phone, so let's just hope you used the app to chose a DD too.
