Ever since NBA star Carmelo Anthony got married in NYC last month, the rumor that he would be divorcing the Denver Nuggets in favor of coming to the Knicks has been gaining traction, especially since Amare Stoudemire personally tried recruiting him. New reports this week suggest that half of that prediction is definitely coming true—Anthony seems determined to leave the Nuggets: "Sources insist it’s no longer a matter of if the Nuggets trade Anthony, but when, where and for whom he’s traded for," said a Yahoo Sports report. But the Knicks are no longer the favorite landing spot for him.

It's the Nyets! Despite their huge billboards, the future Brooklyn Nets had a pretty unimpressive showing with this summers bonanza free agency. But on the bright side, they have young players and draft picks available to trade to Denver, and NJ is really really close to NYC! The Knicks, on the other hand, aren't "considered a strong contender in the eyes of Denver management," partially because of the NYS income tax code. There have been reports that the Knicks are offering a package featuring Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry and his expiring contract plus a future first-round pick, but they are decidedly behind the Nets, Rockets and the Clippers in Denver's eyes.
