The man killed during an early Saturday morning altercation outside of the Playwright Tavern in Times Square was identified at 25-year-old Yonkers resident Eliott Paulino. Apparently the fight started inside the West 49th Street pub, where Paulino was attending a private birthday party and it's suggested that the brawl started either because Paulino bumped into another man which started a shoving match or the two men were fighting over a girl.

According to the Daily News (which also mentions that Paulino's MySpace handle was "fidelcashflo"), "Playwright's bouncers tossed the group out of the bar, but the fight continued on the sidewalk. Paulino was suddenly attacked by a man armed with a knife, witnesses said." One of Paulino's friends said, "He stumbled over here and said, 'Yo, I got stabbed, 'and he fell face-first in front of the bar."

Police are reviewing surveillance video in the area. A doorman at a nearby building told the News, "I look up and I see these two guys yelling 'let's go, let's go!' I'm pretty sure they are the guys that did it, and I got them clear as day on video."
